Curriculum Year 2
WELCOME TO 2A ZEBRAS
In our Zebra class we have Miss Anderson (class teacher) and Mrs Wilkie (learning support assistant).
Any information about the curriculum will be updated throughout the year on the website. Please check out the Kegworth Facebook page for information and photos about what the pupils are getting up to in school!
Homework is set every half term and all the information you will need will be on Google Classroom. Work and photos are to be uploaded onto the assignments.
Weekly pre-learning is sent to parents/ carers every Friday for the week ahead to pass on information about what your child will be learning.
Pupils are expected to read to adult at least three times a week and have their reading records signed to earn their Dojo point.
Year 2 children have PE every Monday and Thursday with Mr Woods. Please make sure pupils have their PE kits in at all times as PE slots can change.
Please come and speak to a member of staff if you have any questions at any point during the year- we are always more than happy to help.
We are looking forward to the year ahead filled with lots of learning and lots of fun!

Homework
At Kegworth Primary School we follow the National Curriculum. This is a large document which can be found online and details what should be covered in the curriculum at Primary School. The Year Two curriculum builds upon what they have learned in Year One and is also their final year in Key Stage One, therefore the end of Key Stage Assessments take place in May.
More detail about these assessments will be given nearer the time. Meanwhile I have included some useful documents below which outline some of the knowledge and skills required in Year Two.
